Safety First

No cutting project is complete without appropriate safety gear. We offer a full line of protection equipment, from chaps, boots, and gloves to helmets and eye protection.

Many ask, do I really need all that safety gear? In a simple answer “YES”. The following pictures are from some of our customers (and yes that is our repair tech Art holding the saw with shredded chaps still hanging from the saw).

The group was cutting for the winter heating season, and in a split second the saw kicked back catching the cutter in the thigh of the chaps. This young lady could have easily lost a leg had she not had her cutting chaps on. Anyone can have a split second where things go awry.

The helmet photo shows what can happen when just a small tree snaps back and strikes a person in the helmet. You can see the crack left from the impact below the ear cover attachment . Without a helmet that could have been a very serious head injury. Now imagine what an even larger branch or tree could do.

We’ve also included a photo of another pair of chaps caught by a chain saw. It happens in literally a second of time.
